[net.micro.trs-80] XENIX-CP/M utility

Does anyone know where to find the routines lread and lwrite that are
contained in the PD utility "ucpm.c" , a rewritten version of a v7
utility of the same name that allowed Tandy 16B's to read and write
CP/M format diskettes? I have a copy of most of ucpm, but it's
missing lread.

We compiled netnews 2.10.2 under XENIX 3.1/3.0 and had the compiler
blow up on inews.c (tstl instruction with illegal operand). Has anyone
else run into this? We got netnews running by using the v7 makefile and
then fixing the problems that appeared.

v3.1 XENIX seems to have a problem with processes that spawn lots of
processes. The August 84 Byte benchmark has a shell script that
creates lots of processes; this works fine under 3.0 but blows up under
3.1, both on a 6000 and a "Snapped" 16. There does not appear to be
any major improvement between 3.0 and 3.1, incidentally.
