[net.micro.trs-80] Need specs on TRS-80 Model I

byron@gitpyr.gatech.EDU (Byron A Jeff) (10/30/86)

I bought a TRS-80 model I computer back in the dark ages (6+ years ago). The
computer bit it long ago (I tried to add lower case) but the monitor is still
intact. I want to build a 80 column (If it'll handle it) display card and
use the monitor for the CRT. Does anyone out there have the specs to this
monitor? The info I need is:

1. Maximum bandwidth (dot clock), vsync and hsync clock frequencies.
2. What are the pinouts of the orignal connector and what signals are
carried over which color lines? I don't want to have to use a 5 pin
din connector if I don't have to.
3. Any other information that is not mentioned above that I may need to
interface to this monitor. This is my first display card so I'm not
familiar with all of the specs yet.

Also where can I find a model I Tech ref manual? I called Tandy hardware
support today (in Atlanta) and (no kidding) they LAUGHED at me! One question
from a computer salesperson was "Do you want to go back to the Stone Age?"
I do and I need a Tech ref manual to do it.

Please send all responses through E-mail. No use in cluttering the newsgroup
with specialized info. If I get an overwhelming response for this info
I'll post a summary to the net.

"... and thank you for your support." (Frank Bartles)
