I would like to propose a way of playing games, posing life and death
problems, and otherwise exchanging go information on the net. It is as follows:
I would suggest that we use the following numbering system to repersent
the go ban (board)...

Please note that the letter I is NOT used (looks too much like the number 1)
Please also note the nine star points. These, as you know are the points for
the handicap stones. Now that we know what the go ban (board) looks like, how
do we transmit the moves? How about as follows: Each move is transmited with
its sequence number as follows....

A ko should be noted by saying...
X) Ko --- Taken at R-C.
where R-C is the letter and number of the ko taken.
It should not be necessary to transfer the board every move or even to
have to show it. \IF/ we all agree on the numbering system.
