[net.games.go] Notation convention - I'm new at

Visually, I prefer the following even though the period is
offset.  When I was working for Qantel, I modified my terminal
character generator ROM to give me full go graphics capability
to support my go board handler...if you're gonna do it, it's
nice to be able to do it right.

I DO NOT like the notation convention in which the edges are a different
character.  I think they should be .'s throughout.  Although cute
little edge characters are in some sense more like "reality",
they just don't work at the resolution of a 24x80 character display.
The screen gets too cluttered for me and my "GO Eye" can't take
in the formations.
