Yes, I'm still here. It's just with the three games I have been playing
via email it's been hard to scrape together the time for problems. Anyway,
here is the answer to problem #9. As you remember white was to play and live.

White = O Black = @ Answer moves = 1, 2, 3, ...

By playing at 1 white catches black with a shortage of liberities. Black
wants to play at X and make whites eye in the corner false. But if black
plays at X white takes the 4 black stones by playing at 2. Black can only
make the a move like 2 or at Y and take the two white stones.
In eather case, after black 2 white can then secure his weak point by
taking the cutting stone with 3. Please note that now X & Y are miai and
if black takes one white gets the other and lives.
