I would like to get together a schedule of GO tournaments in Washington and Oregon. I know about the local one (Memorial Day in the Japanese Gardens) because I played in it. Now I want More. Anybody know of any > others? Roberta and myself are already playing a game via email. I also have two other games going as well. The time between moves is rather small for 2 to 4 hops. So.... Why not a net wide (or at least west coast wide) Go tournament over email? Updates can be posted to the net so that other players can follow what is going on in each of the games. Why not even a net wide go club? I'm sure that this idea would go over very well in Japan. We might even catch the interest of the Nihon Kiin. If any (more) of you are interested in playing send me your name & mailing address for the net. Also send any ideas or suggestions on these possibilities. Better yet, start talking about it here in net.games.go. If there is any interest in the games that we are playing (commentary is most welecome) let me know & I will post what we are doing.
