JAPAN-CHINA-SUPER-GO The German Go Journal (Deutsche Go Zeitung) is quite well informed on this tournament. I've obtained the four most recent copies a few days ago. So here we go: CHINA JAPAN Wang 6D Yoda 5D Chiang 7D Kobayashi Satoru 5D Shao 7D Awaji 9D Ch'ien 6D Kataoka, Tengen Ts'ao 8D Ishida Arika 9D Liu 8D Kobayashi Koichi, Judan Ma 9D Kato, Oza Nieh 9D Fujisawa Shuko 9D Note that German transscriptions of oriental names sometimes differ from Anglo-Saxon transscriptions. In the next number (march/april) Chiang is written as Jiang. The results (as far as I can figure out): Yoda beat Wang Jiang beat Yoda Jiang beat Kobayashi Satoru Jiang beat Awaji Jiang beat Kataoka Jiang beat Ishida Kobayashi Koichi beat Jiang Kobayashi Koichi beat Shao Kobayashi Koichi beat Qian (Ch'ien) Kobayashi Koichi beat Cao (Ts'ao) So it's three against three... Niek van Diepen 3-dan mcvax!niek P.S. I'm definitely a Dutchman (no joke intended :-)).
