I also called the Sabaki Go Company number last week (week of 9 Sep), and didn't get an answer or an answering machine. That's a little worrisome, since I sent them a check and an order a few days earlier. I'll report on how it turns out. On a brighter note, I wrote to the Ishi Press, which publishes most of the English-language go books available around here, and got an answer within a week! That's pretty impressive, considering they're in Tokyo. They sent me catalogs for English and Japanese books, all at fairly reasonable prices (in yen). The address is The Ishi Press Inc. CPO Box 2126 Tokyo, Japan They say it takes about 10 weeks to send stuff to the U.S. via sea mail. I just ordered "Invincible: the games of Shusaku", which costs $60.00 when you can find it around here, and $42.00 at the current exchange rate from Ishi Press. If there's any interest, I can summarize the English and Japanese go books they sell. (The English ones are mostly the ones posted in the Sabaki article several weeks ago.) -- Jim Gillogly {decvax, vortex}!randvax!jim jim@rand-unix.arpa
