Here in North Carolina, we seem to be reasonably lucky. WUNC -- the statewide PBS outlet -- is showing no less than three Dr. Who series at separate times. On Weekday evenings at 11:00-11:30 they show John Pertwee episodes, these seem now to be toward the end of the Pertwee regeneration. Currently they are in the middle of "The Monster of Pelador." On Saturday afternoons, WUNC shows an entire Tom Baker story (4 episodes.) They are now in the middle of the "Key to Time" sequence, having just shown "The Pirate Planet." On Sunday evenings at 7 we get two episodes of the Peter Davidson regeneration. We have just seen Episodes 1 and 2 of "The Kings Demons," where Chameleon is introduced (is there a third and fourth episode?) While I can't speak for the rest of the state, The Foundation Bookstore in Chapel Hill carries a fair number of the Dr. Who books, and some of the Dr. who records are readily obtainable at local record stores. We were able to see "The Five Doctors" the same night it was broadcast in Britain. The previous night we were treated to "The Three Doctors" which included the regenerations of the Doctor up to and including John Pertwee. All in All, we are not wanting for whoiphenalia down heah on tobacco road. -- Byron Howes UNC - Chapel Hill (decvax!duke!unc!bch)
