Well, Adrick ate it last night on the local Dr Who broadcast, and for the first time since I started watching Dr. Who, I was impressed with the way they handled things. Most of the Dr. Who shows I have seen have been entertaining, but not exactly what you could call high theatre. In the last couple of weeks the new Dr. Who shows have started, and while I miss Tom Baker, Peter Davison seems to be growing into the role rather quickly and I think that the series is improving (I do miss the scarf and K-9... *sigh*). Unfortunately for me, of all of his assistants, Adrick was the only one I really liked (quick, what is the cube root of 3?) and now he's gone (maybe...). For those that haven't seen it yet, I don't plan on spoiling things for you, but by my count, he dies at the end of the second story after the regeneration. I think the things that impressed me most about the episode were that, for once, everyone didn't live happily ever after and they also didn't pull the punches or gloss it over. They also ran the closing credits silently, which was really eerie (nice touch, folks!) The more I watch it, the more impressed I am. Davison may actually take over as my favorite doctor yet... -- -- Diogenes looked in and laughed-- From the dungeons of the warlock Chuqui the Plaid Note the new address: {fortune,menlo70}!nsc!chuqui ~And as I lived my role I swore I'd sell my soul for one love who would stand by me and give me back the gift of laughter~ - Winslow Leech
