From Francis J. Wharton: Does anyone out there have a copy of the fanzine "The Doctor and the Enterprise"? The story takes Tom Baker's character and has him meeting the crew of Star Trek. I would like publisher, name of author, any way that I can locate a copy of the issue. According to "The Universal Translator", a fanzine listing newsletter, you can get this zine from Jean Airey, for $6 (includes 1st class postage). The address is Fanfun Publications 6626 Rocky Den Rd. Reynoldsburg, OH 43068. I read the story when it was first published in R+R #13 and enjoyed it. I think that version is now out of print. Francis also asked for the lyrics to the filk song "The Doctor's Pockets". I have a copy in "The Westerfilk Collection" from Off-Centaur Publications. The words are by Anne Wilson and Meg Garrett, the tune is "My Favorite Things". The Doctor's Pockets Jack knife and yo-yo and things I find handy, Grubby white bag full of bright colored candy, My sonic screwdriver and bugs I have found, These are the things that I carry around! Chorus: When they caught me, And they searched me, This is what they found -- My captors were simply amazed to behold The things that I carry around! Half-eaten apples and wires and gears, A diary with entries for five hundred years, Etheric detector and string wrapped around, These are the things that I carry around! Chorus Hypnotic crystal and hanky with knot in, Ginger-pop bottle and things I've forgotten, Toffee tin, spyglass, and stray British pound, These are the things that I carry around! Chorus If you like filk songs, this is an interesting collection. I think they may have put out a second volume recently.
