I have been video-tapeing the Dr.Who episodes shown in my area on pbs (hurray for no commercials). So far I have a complete set of Tom Baker, "the five doctors", and it looks as if they are going to show Whats-his-name (after Tom). But I have never seen (except in "the five doctors" ) the early doctors (although they all look as if they would have been nice to see). If anyone out there could supply these on tape, or put me in touch with a source, I would be eternally grateful Randy More Who fan par excellance ..!ihnp4!afinitc!rkm

It is *hell* getting Episodes of even Tom Baker Dr. Who that I have not already seen, and I have not seen very many. I too would be interested in video tapes of the good doctor, because I believe that no tv station gives the show the respect and airplay it deserves. Perhaps someone could interest the BBC in marketing them on video tape? What a dangerous precedent that would set! Bill Cattey wdc%mit-eddie@mit-mc wdc@bbn-unix ...decvax!genrad!mit-eddie!wdc

Does anyone know of video tapes for William Hartnell and Patrick Troughton episodes? Has anyone seen any of them recently? My understanding is that the BBC destroyed the original tapes of many of these episodes in a house-cleaning before they realized that the show was such a classic. I have never seen any of these episodes and would like to get them. "Just soot; there'll be no charge." --Sally Handy-Zarnstorff AT&T Bell Laboratories, Short Hills, NJ ..!ihnp4!hlexa!shz
