It was asked some weeks ago in which episode the sonic screwdriver was destroyed. It was in "The Visitation" which aired in the SF bay area on KTEH channel 54 last weekend. The sonic screwdriver is destroyed by a "Terraleptile" (sp?) which is out to kill The Good Doctor. The episode takes place in 17th century england during the time of The Black Plague. The Terraleptiles have given the rats a worse disease than the BP, in an attempt to kill all humans. The Doctor inadvertantly starts a fire which burns down a good piece of London, frying most of the rats and putting an end to The Black Plague and the Terraleptiles. Murray at Intel @ t4test

For those history/Dr. Who fans.. When asked whether to return to London to put out the fire that the Doctor started, he (Who) responded by saying that that fire should be left to run its own course. He was, of course, referring to the Great Fire of London, in which the Plague was alleged to have ended. Note that the fire started in a BAKERY on PUDDING LANE (I think). A dead giveaway.
