That's the Plimsouls; the album is "Everywhere At Once" on Geffen Records. Good isn't it? -- It's the damage that we do and never know, it's the words that we don't say that scare me so... The band name is the Plimsouls. I believe that the song only appeared on a single. Some of their other hits were "Zero Hour" and "Now". -- Antipasto tastes better than Toe-Jam! Al Schwartz Pacesetter Systems Inc., Sylmar, CA {trwrb|allegra|burdvax|cbosgd|hplabs|ihnp4|sdcsvax}!sdcrdcf!psivax!al

The band in "Valley Girl", as previously mentioned, was indeed The Plimsouls. For those of you who are unfamiliar with them, The Plimsouls are a four-piece power-pop and soul band from LA led by Peter Case. Case used to be in a band called The Nerves along with Paul Collins (of Paul Collins' Beat) and Jack Lee (writer of "Hangin' on the Telephone" (first performed by The Nerves, later covered by Blondie) and many other great pop tunes--see "Jack Lee's Greatest Hits). They put out one (very rare) four song 7". The Plimsouls have put out a number of discs including: Zero Hour--EP--Beat Records Their first release, recently reissued as a French import. The Plimsouls--LP--Planet Records A Million Miles Away/I'll Get Lucky--12"--Shaky City Records Everywhere At Once--LP--Geffen ... uw-beaver!eli
