<> As far as I know, pre-Pertwee episodes of Dr. Who aren't being shown anywhere. At least in this country. There are two reasons that come to mind as to why this is so. 1. Before Pertwee, all shows were filmed in black & white only. I'm sure most of us would do anything to see these stories, but they are probably considered less marketable. 2. Due to one reason or another, many of the episodes from the earlier years of the show have been lost or destroyed. There seem to be only five complete stories from the Troughton years, a few Pertwee episodes are lost and quite a number of the Hartnell episodes are missing. My information comes from the book: "Dr. Who A Celebration 20 Years Through Time and Space" or something like that. Does anyone out there know what has to be done to convince the BBC that they can make a bundle marketing those old b&w shows? Dave Allen -- Dave Allen

Some few random episodes have been discovered in Australia and New Zealand in recent years. John R Blaker UUCP: ...!fortune!wdl1!jrb ARPA: jrb@FORD-WDL1 blaker@FORD-WDL2 P.S.
