[net.tv.drwho] regeneration of clothing

Thank you to the people who answered my question. The following
response is representative of the responses I received:

I've never seen the Doctor regenerate. Do his clothes regenerate
with him, or does he regenerate and then nip off to the little
boy's room to change clothes? If his clothes do regenerate,
how is this explained?

*************
I saw two regenerations, Pertwee to Baker in 'Robot' and
Baker to Davidson in Logopolos/Castrovalva.

No, of course the clothes don't regenerate. That would be
too obvious even for a kid's show. After Pertwee regenerated,
Baker was trundled off to the base hospital in pertwee's tux,
(a bad fit) and later sneaked back to the TARDIS in hospital gown.
After trying on several rediculous costumes, he decided on the re-
diculous one he always wore afterwards.

Baker's clothes were too big for Davidson. When the companions
helped Davidson up in Logopolos after THE BIG FALL, he was almost
comically (I thought) swamped in Baker's coat and that huge scarf.

I missed the first 15 minutes of Castrovalva, (It was pledge week)
so I never saw how Davidson came by his outfit.

"It's times like these that make me wish I still had my scarf."
