I talked with someone in programming at our PBS station this afternoon and found out how things work between them and the BBC. They were offered 74 half-hours of Peter Davison, 74 half-hours of Jon Pertwee, and 174 half-hours of Tom Baker. They bought it all. Apparently they don't go by seasons, just so many shows of each doctor. She claimed they showed all 74 shows of Davison, but I think they must have missed some somewhere, since we only saw the first two seasons which is 48 half-hours. To get 74, you have to include the third season. They're planning a Dr. Who day, maybe they're saving some of them for that... I'm curious to know if that's how things work for all PBS stations. ---- -King ARPA:ables@ut-ngp UUCP:{ctvax,ihnp4,kpno,seismo}!ut-sally!ut-ngp!ables

It isn't. We got 2 seasons of Tom Baker, period. --bsa -- Brandon Allbery: decvax!cwruecmp{!atvax}!bsa: R0176@CSUOHIO.BITNET ^ Note name change! 6504 Chestnut Road, Independence, OH 44131 <> (216) 524-1416 "The more they overthink the plumbin', the easier 'tis tae stop up the drain."
