[net.tv.drwho] Dr. Who on radio

stern@bnl.UUCP (Eric Stern) (08/13/84)

The other day I heard what seemed to be a radio adaptation of
an episode of Genesis of the Daleks. Some extra narrative
seemed to have been added in Tom Baker's voice to make up
for the lack of video. Does anyone know anything about these
radio stories? Are cassettes available? If there are, are
there any Hartnell or Troughton stories on tape?

The radio version of "Genesis of the Daleks" that you heard was
probably from the record of the same name put out by the BBC.
I have a copy and, from your description, this would appear to be
the case. The BBC has at least 2 if not three Dr. Who albums
available in this country. They sould be available wherever
Dr. Who items are sold.
I believe that the other album(s) are sound effects from the series.

heard on the radio...
