[net.tv.drwho] Some answers

Here are some answers to recent questions regarding Dr. Who.
1) The theme music was composed by Ron Granier and the British Radiotelephonic
Workshop. Ron Granier also composed the theme music for the tv shows 'The
Prisoner' and 'Maigret' (sp?), as well as others I am sure.
2) The Buffalo PBS station (WNED) broadcasts Dr. Who at 6:00 pm every weekday.
They also ran the Peter Davison series (up to but not including 'The Five
Doctors') as movies on Saturday afternoons last spring, and they have promised
to repeat this practice some time this fall or winter. Thursday, Aug. 23, WNED
will be showing 'Castrovalva' as well as 'Dr. Who in America', hosted by Tom
Baker. People in this area certainly have no cause to complain about the
kind of service they get from their PBS station, at least not as far as Dr.
Who is concerned.

Actually, its the BBC Radiophonic Workshop. They're the same ones who did
the sound effects for the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Universe (not surprisingly).
