Hmm, this strikes me as very odd. In an interview with John Nathan-Turner I
saw (hi Dave!) he said that the Master was one of his favorite bad guys! I
also assumed after reading about his apparent demise that Anthony Ainley
wasn't interested in continuing the role. If this is not true, then what's
up?
While I'm here, I thought it'd be a good idea to tell some other
revelations brought up in that interview. John was apparently considering
leaving the show until he found that Peter Davison was leaving. As for the
moment, he's going to stay with the show until March '85 at least. One show
he'd like to do in the future is, believe it or not, a >soap opera<! He also
mentioned they (but not necessarily he) would probably do another "anniversary"
show in four years, for the 25th anniversary.
