[net.tv.drwho] What Gives at WTTW - Ch. 11

I tuned in Monday night to watch The Dr. (timeshifting, you know) and to
my shock and amazement, I find no Nyssa, and instead some guy named Turlough!

I checked my story guide (courteously provided by the net) and I discover that
WTTW - Channel 11 has skipped 5 episodes! (Mawdryn Undead, Terminus, Enlight-
enment, The King's Demons, Warriors of the Deep).

Anyone got any notion what they're up to? During the Key to Time episodes,
they showed part 3 prior to part 2, but this is a much larger glitch in the
time-space matrix!

What happened on WTTW was that they had a "special Dr. Who week"
last week (during the final stage of their subscription drive, and showed
the "missing" 4-5 episodes at 11:00 during the week! I missed 2 episodes
this way, until I saw the listing in the Dial program guide. I have a
feeling they screwed up a lot of regular viewers this wasy.

(oops, this WAY.)

Thanks to some kind Chicago netter who happens to subscribe to
The Dial, I found out about those 5 episodes around the beginning
of the month. I found it right here, in this newsgroup, and
spread the news to those whom I thought would be interested.

To that person who subscribes to WTTW, thanks again for the posting.
If the station should plan another treat like that again, would you
please let the rest of us know?

Question to everyone who watches WTTW:
Do you think we'll get the Colin Baker series now, or do
you think we'll go back to Pertwee again? Or maybe start again
with Tom Baker? I've heard all three as possibilities.

I'll tell you what, I've done a little volunteer work there, and I'm
willing to bet that if you guys let them know which Who you want and
how much you enjoyed the festival, they may consider you're
suggestions. I don't think WTTW gets all that much feedback from
viewers. I'm sure that if Channel 11 heard from enough people, there
would be another festival.

If anybody wants the address, I'd be happy to post it.
