To the person who was wondering about the new TARDIS console:

At the beginning of "THE FIVE DOCTORS", the Doctor is seen just
finishing up the changes to the new console, saying to an unimpressed
Tegan something like "rather splendid, isn't it?".  Apparently all of
the new gadgetry (microcomputers, color CRT's) has been in storage somewhere
deep in the TARDIS all this time.
