gordon@uw-june (Jamie Green) (12/24/84)
Many of you may remember several months back when I posted my Doctor Who
Story Guide for the first time. I promised I would be maintaining it, and
believe it or not I did! The changes from the previous guide are as follows:
several mistakes corrected
22nd Season info added
Archives added
The addition of the Archives column has made things a bit crowded, I'm
afraid, but I felt the information was important. I mentioned at the
previous posting that I was going to work on a wider version, and I'm still
planning on doing that, but I can't make emacs write long lines without
wrapping them (does anyone out there know how I can do it, or if it's even
possible? If so, HELP!!). When and if I figure this out, I will start work
on a wider version, which will have less multiple-line entries, more room
for the Archives column, and an expanded Notes section, which will contain
not only the companion changes, but other tidbits of interest.
Finally, I cannot stress enough my need for corrections and additions! Even
hunches and rumors would be greatly appreciated at this point (but
documented facts are, of course, preferred!). If you have any info on
broadcast times for the later seasons, and especially updates for the
archives (I have updated them some from the magazines, but I'm relatively
certain that they're not up-to-date), please let me know!
And now, with no further ado, I bring you the new and improved Doctor Who
Story Guide. Happy Holidays!

DOCTOR WHO STORY GUIDE
Version 12/19/84
This guide contains information in the following form:
Story Production Code (SPC): Each story had a unique code associated with it
that was used for filing purposes.
Title: Stories `A' through `Z' had individual titles for each episode, but in
the interest of organization and for saving space, only the collective title
is given. After each title, the number of episodes is given in parentheses,
and if a Target Books novelisation exists, that fact is noted by the pres-
ence of an asterisk or a caret if the book's title is radically different
from that of the episode. (The book's title is given in the notes section.)
Writer: This column lists the author(s) of each episode.
Archives: Through the 11th season, this lists all episodes that are held by
the B.B.C. archives, in black & white and color.
Notes: This column records any changes in the Doctor's companions, and
mentions any other interesting information.
In addition, the season headings show the beginning and ending dates of the
original broadcast of the season, and the Producer(s) and Script Editor(s)
for that season.
Note on sources: This is primarily a modification on the earlier episode
guide posted to the net oh so long ago, reformatted with much information
added and some mistakes corrected. I checked all of the information with _The
Doctor_Who_Programme_Guide_ (all info through 18th season); _The_Official
Doctor_Who_Magazine_ Nos. 90-95 (all newer stories); _The_Doctor_Who_Summer
Special_1984_ (novelisations); and _Doctor_Who:_A_Celebration_ (archives).
Wherever contradictory information occurred, I used the "majority rules"
method. There are several omissions, especially for the later seasons as
information was sparse.
Please send me any corrections or additions you may have, especially info
on the latest seasons, the current season, and the archives. If possible,
mention the source your new information is from.
