Omega and Rassilon were co-temporal. Rassilon developed the theories of Time travel and the hardware to travel. Omega handled the development of the energy source to power the TARDIS. This involves orbiting at high speed a singularity. (The relativistic effects of this may allow time travel (for real!) if the orbit is high enough. The space is highly non-Euclidean, so the time cone of legal paths may tilt below the horizontal. If so, when leaving the orbit of the black hole, you will be thrown backwards through time.) While Omega was harnessing a singularity to propel the time machines (TARDIS ought not be their real name, in an Unearthly Child, Susan took credit for the naming the device.) he "fell" into the singularity and was propelled into another universe. The harnessed singularity is the eye of harmony, I would assume the energy used to propel the vehicles to the eye of harmony is "Arton Energy." If you don't beleive this, find a black hole and spin around it. Then go back and tell yourself, before you read this message, that it is true. Chancellor Hamish
