I became a member of KTCA here in the Twin Cities in August. At the time they were offering a Doctor Who picture disk as a premium to anyone who pledged $60 or more. I haven't received my premium yet, so I called the station today to ask why. A woman there told me that premiums are not given until the station receives a full pledge (I pledged $5/month for 12 months). The people asking for pledges and advertising the premiums didn't mention this, nor has the station mentioned it to me in any of their monthly bills. Also, when I pledged over the phone, I was told my premium would arrive in six weeks. The woman at the station told me that she had received several calls like mine, and said the whole incident was unfortunate, but she couldn't do anything about it. But she did say that she would pass on my complaints to her supervisor, so maybe my call did some good. But I still have to wait until August to receive my premium.
