[net.tv.drwho] Chameleon circuit repaired?

cs2532aa@unm-cvax.UUCP (02/21/85)

As far as I know, this is just a resurrection of the same rumor from
about eight months back. The TARDIS in its current form is the ONLY
thing that has remained unchanged throughout the show's 21-year history.
Altering it, even by fixing the Chamelion circuit, would be like killing
off the Doctor to most fans. There's no good reason to do it--and I don't
think that JNT will.

What started this thing up again? If you have a recent source for this
rumor, please post it. [Your best friends' next-door-neighbor's cousin
doesn't count :-)]

You are in for a surprise.

The rumour was started up again by the fact that in "Attack of the Cybermen,"
the TARDIS changes into a hfsjdl, then a hgfjksal, and finally a hsajkl, before
a fdjskal;klaf;s causes the TARDIS to return to the shape of a police box.
