A recent newscast has stated that, after 22 years on the tube, Dr. Who
will be suspended for an 18 month period. Apparently, the BBC are having
difficulty in meeting the production costs of the show. 
I am sure that our American friends will raise a big stink at this, as
the Doctor is so much better than domestic programs such as The A Team,
Lavern & Shirly and others too numerous to mention.
If enough of an outcry is made, the BBC may be forced to reconsider their
rash and foolhardy decision. (at least I hope so).
