[I don't care what the Guide says..........PANIC!] On 27 Feb 85, the Controller of BBC-1 annouced that Doctor Who has been cancelled! (This information is from fan-artist Gail Bennett, who received a 'phone call from Gary Downie, John Nathan-Turner's best friend and author of _The Doctor Who Cookbook_). ARE WE GOING TO ALLOW THIS?????? (I hope you all said "NO") A letter writing campaign has been started. There are three people who deserve to hear our complaints (JN-T is not one of them, he had nothing to do with the cancellation!) They are: Director General of the BBC Alistair Milne British Broadcasting Company White City London W12, United Kingdom Controller of BBC-1 Michael Grade British Broadcasting Company White City London W12, United Kingdom Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher 10 Dowing Street London, United Kingdom (After all, Doctor Who is one of Britain's best exports!) So, start writing! Prevent the death of a series that should go on for some 20 more years at least! (No, I don't know the official reason for the cancellation.
