I recieved bad news from England this morning. The BBC has decided to NOT
to make any more Dr.Who programmes for at least eighteen months.

As of this time I have have no further information. When I recieve more, I
will post it to the net, unless somebody beats me to it.

It really is a small matter to Americans that the BBC won't make new
Dr. Who for eighteen months, since there are enough back episodes with
Baker,Pertwee and Troughton to keep us occupied during the sabbatical.
Hopefully, JNT will use the break to take a good look at the quality of
the writing of the show most recently and maybe do something about it.

         Question;

Has every Baker episode been shown at least once in the Del-
 aware Valley?

I called the BBC the other day. I was told that Dr. Who is only on
hold for 1 year. I was also told that when the Doctor comes back, it
will be in a new format.

SMALL MATTER???????? Small matter, indeed! Watching the old
Hartnell's and Troughton's and Pertwee's and Baker's (not to mention
Davison's) is one thing if you do it out of choice, but to be
FORCED to do so for a year? (and what about the people, in Chicago
for instance, who watch them as they come?)

[Sorry, I don't mean to flame. It's just that...]

Yeah, you know, "new format" as in an English western. Whaddya expect? Just
about everybody involved now will be doing something else. They could call
it "Dr. Who rides the moors".
