[net.tv.drwho] WTTW purchases new episodes

barth@tellab1.UUCP (Barth Richards) (12/02/85)

For those of you who watch DOCTOR WHO on WTTW Channel 11 in Chicago, and
who weren't watching this past Sunday night, they announced their new
acquisitions. WTTW has renewed their rights to all the Tom Baker episodes,
all the Peter Davison episodes, and the 17 Jon Pertwee features that they
have been showing. They have also secured the rights to 24 William Hartnell
features, 10 Patrick Troughton features, 22 additional Jon Pertwee
features, and 9 Colin Baker features.

I am assuming that by saying "features," they mean the film format stories.

Anyway, I think I got the numbers right. No decisions or announcements have
yet been made as to when they will show these new episode. (My guess is
that they will finish showing the episodes they already have first, and
then start with the Colin Baker episodes--Channel 11 has always been
fastidious about running stories in order.)

I also read on net.sflovers that BLAKES 7 will be starting on Channel 11 in
the spring of '86.
