Since this is pledge week (actually 2 weeks), and Dr. Who subscribers are big contributors, WTTW always seems to try to please us. :-) The latest good news is that they have retained the right to show all the current running shows (some Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker and Peter Davison), AND they have bought the rights to the available William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton, about 10 more Jon Pertwee shows and Colin Baker shows. This deal has just been completed and no dates for showing them have been set yet. Sounds like we will finally be able to see all available stories. Incidently, one of the premiums offered was the Dr. Who game with the picture of Tom Baker on the cover. When I bought mine several years ago, they said it was one of the last ones available. Supposedly they had stopped production until they could change the picture to Peter Davison. Anyone know whose picture currently is on the game box? The newly acquired shows are: - a set of Hartnell episodes (~ mid-twenties or so 1/2 hour shows) - a set of Troughton episodes (about same number, does this mean most of the Troughton shows?) - Colin Baker's first season There were about 60 or so ~ 1 hour (I meant 1 hour instead of 1/2 hour, above) new shows, in all. No word yet on when, or in what order these will be seen. As WTTW is currently in the Romana I (Mary Tamm?) portion of Tom Baker's episodes (Key to Time series), my guess is that they will finish out Tom Baker, show Davisson's three series, and then move right through to Colin Baker. Then, I'm guessing, they'll start at the beginning with Hartnell and Troughton, and segue right into Pertwee. Oh, I almost forgot. Included in the new acquisitions are some additional, older Pertwee episodes Some good viewing ahead! Bob Schleicher ihuxk!rs55611
