[net.tv.drwho] West Coast

nyssa@abnji.UUCP (nyssa of traken) (12/03/85)

I was speaking with another net.tv.drwho person, and we noticed a
dearth of postings from the West Coast. Is this still received out
there, or has it been blocked?

Who said it, what story?

Yes I'm still here anyway......

Trivia question time ( to justify my posting ).

How old is the Doctor and how long has the Doctor had the Tardis?

Exact answers please ( in that you must supply the episode, or any
other reputable source, in which you got your answer ).

This brings to mind a comment about how long the doctor *will* be
with us. If you know the answer to the above questions you will
know he's been around a *long* time yet we've only known him for
about 20 years, during which he's used 5 of his regenerations. If
he keeps using them at that rate.......

net.tv.drwho is still received on the West Coast (at least in the Bay
Area). However our main Dr. Who TV source, KTEH, San Jose, is
continuing to run the same old bunch of Pertwee, Baker and Davison
episodes and frankly I'm bored with it. So there's nothing to
really discuss on the net.

I talked to the Acting Program Manager at KTEH recently about getting
some new episodes, specifically the Hartnell ones. She told me that
Lionheart were becoming very difficult to deal with and wanted too much
money. She said they were negotiating but didn't know if or when they
would acquire rights.
