In "Revelation of the Daleks" (the last episode made to date), the
Doctor is quoted as saying "I'm a 900 year old Time Lord..."

>This brings to mind a comment about how long the doctor *will* be
>with us. If you know the answer to the above questions you will
>know he's been around a *long* time yet we've only known him for
>about 20 years, during which he's used 5 of his regenerations. If
>he keeps using them at that rate.......

Remember that William Hartnell's Doctor was quoted at ~450, Tom Baker
at ~750. One can only assume that the Doctor must take trips
unaccompanied by a companion, or that a Gallifreyan year is much
shorter that an Earth year.

"Three of them! I didn't know when I was luck!"
Who said it, what story?

Wassat? I think I've heard the name before, but I can't quite place
it.

But the Doctor is always using Earth measurements.
Why make an exception here?

Except in "The Time Monster," where he measures all distances in
"Venusian Miles." :-)
