[net.misc] end of the world party followup

chuqui@nsc.UUCP (Chuq Von Rospach) (06/15/84)

I just wanted to post a quick note thanking everyone for helping to make
the first occasional end of the world party a real success. For those of
you who missed it, well, better luck next time.

A few final notes to the attendees:

The managers of my complex were very understanding after I explained the it
wasn't really a garter belt on the swan but a prototype for a new radio
transceiver to be used to track canadian geese during migration, and that
those metal studs were the batteries.

The police of the city of Santa Clara have asked me to issue a formal
apology. They agreed that dropping that tear gas from the chopper was a
little overzealous, especially after finding out that the screams were
really from that hamster. They hadn't realized how human like they could
sound.

My upstairs neighbors should be out of the hospital in a couple of weeks.
The Psychiatrist says it isn't that serious, and that he might even stop
drooling someday.

Someone left behind a set of winter issue handcuffs that I found under the
blanket. If you want to claim them, let me know. If now, I'm sure I'll find
some use for them.

The crisco came out of the rug no problem.

Once again, thanks for the memorable evening. I'm looking forward to the
next one.

chuq (innocent until caught)

Speaking of the hamster, did anyone find a partial roll of duct
tape, probably at level 7 under the mirrored ceiling?

Where does Chuq live, anyway... the Dungeons & Dragons condominium?

You probably can't find the duct tape without letting the hamster out of his
cage (though he's in a foul temper these days, I hear....)

"Hey Rocky! Watch me pull a rabbit out of muy hat!"
			"But that trick NEVER works!"
			"This time fer sure!"

Oh, no! Don't tell me somebody forgot to wrap the duct tape around
the hamster and it exploded! You people think that just because
something is in net.jokes that it's not serious, don't you?
