[net.tv.drwho] lost episodes remembered

don@allegra.UUCP (Don Mitchell) (12/25/85)

It is a pity that many of the Hartnell and Troughton stories are lost.
Since this newsgroup has quite a large audience, perhaps we have some
readers who remember these lost episodes. Comments on them would be
very interesting to us all.

I'm sorry to see everyone dumping on Davidson. I enjoyed this Doctor.
He and Hartnell play a "serious" doctor which is a nice contrast to the
more clownish Baker(s) and Troughton. I thought Pertwee was a good
balance, a strong character with a sense of humor.

Pertwee did a short interview with NJN in which he talked about the
Daleks. He thought they were stupid and said something like, 'all you
have to do is run up some stairs and they're screwed!'

A surprisingly large percentage of the lost stories have been novelized,
or will be very shortly. One day, I hope to read all of them...
