  I got thinking about Wotan a bit more and it obviously is a pun on Odin
(besides spelling the given 5 word title).  Wotan controls all else and
has one "eye".  His "sons" fire "lightening", carry hammers, and create
mischief.
  Anything more that I missed?

As far as I know, Wotan is the name for the Odin figure in Germanic mythology,
so who needs puns?  Just check any opera in the Wagner Ring Cycle...

   Well, since Wotan and Odin are just different names for the same myth-
