Okay, here's one for you: In "The 5 Doctors" (yes, they just had pledge _month_ here for gawd's sake), Tom Baker was blatently absent from the action, as well as from any true impact in the plot line. Did he leave the show with bad feelings or something? (and if so, how'd they even get him back for the cameo?) thanks, <a new fan>

He didn't leave with particularly bad feelings, but he wasn't available at the time of the filming. That cameo was stolen from Shada which was never completed because of a strike. Also, the first doctor (W. Hartnell) was not really there either as he had died prior to the filming. They used a lookalike for his part. While I've brought it up (or have I?). Is this cameo where the doctor makes his comment about Newton inventing punting? --j.a.tainter TARDIS (that absolutely rediculous doctor is serious)
