[net.tv.drwho] missing scenes and doctor whoz

*** "I've seen the Master not one half hour ago... in a dream!" ***
I was watching The Time Monster the other day on VCR and I
noticed something somewhat interesting. At the end of one of the
episodes (number one or two) there is a scene where the Master
walks into the TOMTIT room wearing a radiation suit (to hide
his identity from the Brigadier) and his assistant comments
that he doesn't need to wear it. The experiment goes haywire
(from the humans point of view) and we get the credits for
the end of the show. At the beginning of the next episode we see
same scene again (to provide some continuity to the show I'd guess)
only this time some of the scenes are from different angles and some
short clips are left out (to save time?).
It had never occurred to me before this that these common
scenes between episodes might be different. It raises an
interesting question. The tape I'd watched was imported from
Boston, but, out here near Chicago, WTTW shows Doctor Who in
movie format which means that they put all of the episodes
together into one showing. There exists the remote possibility
that certain scenes near the "spliced" portions of the movie
are lacking in content.

In another matter entirely, while watching The Mutants, right
at the end the Earth Investigator comments to a space station
official something like "...this fellow Doctor who?" He's
attempting to get the Doctor's full name.
A similar situation comes to mind from The Black Orchid where the
lady of the mansion asks ".....Doctor who?" I was curious how many other
instances occur in Doctor Who where for some reason the words "doctor"
and "who" come together in that particular order?
If anyone would like to mail to me their recollections
of these occurrances I will summarize the results to the net.
Happy hunting.
