Hi there. I have not seen any msgs in this group since I joined (about two months ago). I have a few questions to throw out into the field. 1) Does anyone know of any good trips/cruises/etc. with intention to view Haley and will actually go to a good area, AND that isn't too expensive??? Or is this a fantasy? 2) Has anyone out there ever heard of the "Quantum-4"? It is a 4" Makustov-Cassegrain made by the Quantum Company, which I believe no longer exists. Does anyone own one, or a Quantum-6? I put a little ad in ASTRONOMY with no response... It's a nice little scope, I resolved M-57 and with a four inch, that's not bad! Exactly what kind of people are there in this group, eh? If there is anyone really interested in this topic (as I am), let's start a discussion on an interesting topic- Black Holes? (too "pop"), quasars? (not much to talk about), The Size of the Universe? Comet Haley? (talk about "pop"). I would really like to get an information exchange with any observers out there as to what is good viewing. Chris Welty CSCI Dept, RPI weltyc@rpi (PHONENET) (but keep msgs on the news group)
