ioinit() can be in either libU77 or libF77. I would put it in libU77 as "Unix system dependent" code. (I'll do that here.) It was written in f77 as a model for similar user-tailored routines. In fact, you can get the source by 'ar x /usr/lib/libI77.a ioinit.f' It was included at the last minute in response to requests from several users for a "traditional" I/O environment.
