[net.lang.f77] Wanted: A ratfor compiler that goes to f77

anita@utastro.UUCP (Anita Cochran) (08/15/84)

Does anyone know of a ratfor compiler that translates its code to
f77 instead of f66? I would prefer one which is free but would
like to know of any that exists. We have System 5 and 4bsd licenses.

I need this because I am translating some very old code written
in fortran 2 (!) to more modern stuff. Struct will translate this nicely
into ratfor. Since it is going to be used on a machine which does
not have ratfor, I must translate the ratfor to fortran and then port the
fortran and it would be very nice to have the fortran be f77 (I like
if-then-else constructs).

Please send the replies by mail to me. Thanks in advance.
