I am interested in purchasing a Fortran compiler for a Victor 9000. If anyone has any recommendations (pro or con), I'd appreciate your inputs. I'd prefer one that operates on MS-DOS. However, CPM86 would be acceptable. I've heard that the Microsoft compiler is good, but rather slow, and that Digital Research is coming out with one which is faster, and which will operate on MS-DOS. I'd also be interested in any user groups which might be in the Portland area. Thanks, Alan

I recently requested information about a Fortran compiler which would run on a Victor 9000. Since the response was underwhelming, I thought I'd try again. Any recommendations regarding IBM-pc compatible compilers would be welcome, since the 9000 is pc compatible. Only the disk formats are different.
