I am interested in getting in touch with people who may have taken art classes and like to draw. I have only taken a one semester Drawing class, but have been fairly successful at getting pictures on the page through gesture and continuous line drawing. Right now my favorite tools are a quill pen and india ink on newsprint or a smooth flowing pen, also on newsprint. It is so amazing to conjure up an image in my head and then develop it on the paper. My drawings are not attempts at realism, but instead show an essence of what the eye sees. Since I couldn't find a newsgroup on the subject, I suspect that there aren't too many people out there who draw as a hobby. Bill Smith ihnp4!astrovax!princeton!siemens!wws

since there isn't a newgroup for drawing, there can't be too many people interested in it as a hobby? maybe people who draw are more interested in drawing than in posting articles that say, "wouldn't it be great if we had a newsgroup so we could discuss drawing." maybe people who draw aren't really interested in stonehenge and scathing notes demanding paths to sandia national laboratories (flames to /dev/null flames to /dev/null). how silly, to measure the wonderfulness or popularity of some field of human endeavor by its suitability as a netnoise newsgroup. stephen c north north/honey thesis, inc.
