{slam dunk} Well, all you Celtic fans out there, the Lakers gave you your first loss at home during the playoffs thus far. The Lakers looked AWESOME especially since they had to travel the day before. Give credit to Pat Riley for getting them up for the game and teaching them how to play that stifiling pressure defense. Most people don't realize how good they are defensively. All they hear about is their fast break, which is great, but when they keep the pressure on they can force alot of turnovers. Michael Cooper is a key to their defense and did a great job on Bird in Game 1, and don't expect Bird to have an easy time of it the rest of the series. Sure, he'll get his points, but Cooper will make him work for them. He was almost shut down from the outside in Game 1. I think CBS is *ridiculous* by waiting until Thursday to play Game 2. The game should have been played Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest! That just goes to show you how important network prime-time is to CBS. I think it sucks. Now the Lakers (and the Celtics) have to sit around for 4 days doing nothing. The NBA finals shold have some continuity to it and this really breaks it up. Still My Prediction: LAKERS in 6 games.
