[net.sport.hoops] Syracuse 65, Georgetown 63

I hate to say I told you so, but I would call that a pretty good
predication. With the Big East season half over, each team will still
meet once more. It seems to be holding true that the top teams in the
Big East are winning at home, losing on the road.

I hope this will liven up the discussion on this net a bit. . .

WHICH IS THE BEST B-BALL CONFERENCE ???

My bias is pretty clear, I say the Big East! Top Teams are:

Georgetown 18-2
St. Johns 15-1
Syracuse 13-3
Villanova 13-4

All Top Twenty Teams!

Remaining:

Boston College
Pittsburg
Connecticut
Providence
Seaton Hall

Lets hear what the ACC folks have to say. . .

I'd say it's a toss-up between Big East and ACC this year. I couldn't
really differentiate between the Top Teams and the rest because
everybody has a good team in the ACC!

Ready?

BULLSH*T!

Lets look at the conferences top to bottom:

ACC Big East

NCAA Teams:

Duke Georgetown
Georgia Tech Syracuse
Maryland St. Johns
NC State Villanova
Wake Forest
North Carolina

NIT Teams:

Virginia Boston College
Clemson Pittsburgh, maybe

Teams that don't go anywhere:

none Connecticut
					Providence
					Seton Hall

The clear winner: ACC.

Seriously, could Seton Hall challenge the top four in the Big East?
Top to bottom, the ACC has the best teams. There is no question about it.
There is not a push over. (Georgia Tech used to be, but that was 4 years
ago.)

The top teams in the ACC play a much harder out of conference schedule than
the top Big East teams, as well, which is why they are not as highly ranked.

By the way, who was the Big East football champion last year :-)? (So much
for one sport conferences!)

>>Oh, I think the Pac-10 is clearly the top conference this year.

I like the BIG 10. -- once they stop beating up on each other.

You watch what happens in the NCAA this year.
go ILLINOIS! (all eight players, ouch.)
