Let me first say that living in ACC country has it's advantages and disadvantages. The advantages are good basketball and basketball gatherings. The disadvantages are hard core N. Carolina (UNC), Dean Smith fans. Don't get me wrong I respect Dean as a coach. The reason I'm posting this at all is the outrageous excuse I heard this morning on why UNC (Dean Smith) "let" Georgia Tech win the ACC Tournament. According to this fellow worker, Dean didn't want to meet Georgetown early on in the NCAA in hopes that someone might knock Georgetown off before the final four. At this point I had to retrieve a mop to clean up all the coffee I had spilt on the floor. That has to be the alltime great excuse for UNC or any team not to win a tournament.
