Does anyone know any rumors or facts concerning Kentucky's efforts to replace Joe Hall? Each of the following names has been mentioned in print as being considered for the job. Pat Riley Dan Issel Gene Keady Eddie Sutton Bobby Cremins Mike Krzyzewski Lee Rose Dave Bliss C. M. Newton Hugh Durham Gene Bartow Bob Boyd Bobby Knight Al McGuire Lute Olsen Sonny Smith Leonard Hamilton Lake Kelly Jim Hatfield Boyd Grant Dick Parsons Paul Evans Pat Riley, Dan Issel, and Bobby Cremins have declined to be interviewed. Eddie Sutton has told the Arkansas legislature that he wants to spend the rest of his career in Hog Heaven. It would be hilarious to see either Bobby Knight or Al McGuire coach Kentucky, but it seems very unlikely. Is it true that Sonny Smith has committed to Auburn? Lute Olsen and Paul Evans are said to be interested enough to interview. It seems as though the Final Four in Lexington should give Cliff Hagan a good opportunity to talk with a number of potential U.K. coaches. Can any of you in Kentucky share more information?
