That the Celts won the Eastern Conference Championship Series is not earth shattering ... (they are a good team) ... but beating the Sixers in five games is nothing short of amazing. Before acquiring Moses, this Philadelphia Team handily beat Boston in 1979 and 1980. In 1981 we stole the 5th, 6th, and 7th games by the barest of margins. In 1982, the Sixers, on the verge of deja vu, came back to Boston and won game seven. Then, they got Moses. Then they got Charles. Granted that J and Bobby are older than they look, but a five game series for Boston is unprecedented in this Bird - Erving era. I think the big story was Moses and his lack of desire. (Of course the Chief and Danny did a pretty good defensive job on him.) If the rest of the Sixers played with the professionalism, tenacity, and talent of Maurice, it would have been they not we going to meet Dancing Barry.
