...and George sees it.

Here we are again. It seems that college football is starting to wind down
and teams are either packing their bags for a winter's trip or snuggling
themselves in place for a winter's nap. Two more weeks of games and then
it's bowl season. George will pick the bowl games but not until the
regular season is over. Last week, George did his usual average self. He
picked 17 winners, 9 losers, and lost 7 to his spread. For the year that
gives him a 238-97-78==413 record. That still is 57% correct which is better
than your average coin. His spread record is as follows:

    Points 0-4 5-9 10-14 15-19 20-up Total
    Week 13 8 10 6 1 8 33
    Season 96 99 69 47 102 413

As far as top twenty goes, not much has changed. Penn State inched further
up the totem pole with a shutout of Pitt but still is not the number one
team in the nation. No other cute things to say because it's late, so here
goes nothing:

George's Top Twenty (or so) - Week fourteen

1. Michigan Wolverines 11. UCLA Bruins
2. Nebraska Cornhuskers 12. Arkansas Razorbacks
3. Oklahoma Sooners 13. Ohio State Buckeyes
4. Air Force Falcons 14. Georgia Bulldogs
5. Iowa Hawkeyes 15. Baylor Bears
6. Miami Hurricanes 16. Penn State Nittany Lions
7. Brigham Young Cougars 17. Florida Gators
8. Auburn Tigers 18. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
9. Tennessee Volunteers 19. Alabama Crimson Tide
10. Maryland Terrapins 20. Texas A&M Aggies

Well, the rivalries go into full swing this year. I'll be at Grant Field
Saturday night hoping my Yellow Jackets can take the bite out of the
Georgia Farmer's College team. We'll also watch with interest the
Virginia-Maryland game to see if Tech can back their way into a conference
championship. Texas A&M will be going for a conference championship and
so will the Volunteers. Here is the light week's line-up.

That's it for this week. We have one more week of picks to post and then
we'll go over our bowl picks. All bowls will be locked up this week
We just have to wait for the power ratings to settle. If you haven't
looked in ../hoops for awhile, George is posting his top twenty or so
for college basketball and is offering a mailing service for his picks.
If you're interested, just drop us a line or check out the action in
net.sport.hoops.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone out there. We'll see you next week.
