The OUAA regular season just ended last night as Toronto bumped Carleton from the playoffs. The East Division semifinal matchups (season record in parentheses) are: Queen's (8-6) at York (14-0) Toronto (9-5) at Laurentian (10-4) Winners will meet at the higher-ranked team on Saturday for the divisional championship. The West Division playoffs are another kettle of fish--all seven teams make the playoffs. Quarterfinals are Tuesday night, semifinals at Western Friday night and the consolation and championship at Western Saturday afternoon. Quarterfinals: Guelph (0-12) at Waterloo (8-4) McMaster (5-7) at Brock (7-5) Windsor (6-6) at Laurier (6-6) (I think Laurier wins the tiebreaker) Semifinals (at Western): Brock or McMaster vs Waterloo or Guelph Windsor or Laurier vs Western (10-2) The West Division champion goes to the home of the East Division champion next Monday night for the Ontario championship--a meaningless game unless the CIAU rankings committee decides to wait until after the game to compile the regional tournament seedings. -- "What, me graduate?"
